To promote advanced studies and research in English language and literature and the humanities for building better perspectives towards understanding human cultures and forms of cultural production
MISSION
- To be a Centre for Excellence in Cultural and Comparative Studies
- To evolve an interdisciplinary approach towards teaching and research in English Literature and, in general, the Humanities
GOALS
- To begin Certificate, Diploma and PG diploma Courses in the Humanities encompassing both ancient and contemporary thought on culture, aesthetics, language, linguistics and philosophy
- To set up a Language Lab for research and development of pedagogic resources
