Empowering students to be self-dependent and self-sustaining by imparting life-enriching skills and quality education in Economics

MISSION

To equip students with skills and knowledge in applied economics enhancing their employability potential
To enable the students to develop a holistic approach for analyzing and solving contemporary economic and social problems
To conduct region and context-specific research in collaboration with other departments of the university/ research institutes/ agencies to aid policy making

GOALS

Developing innovative programmes and applied courses in areas crucial for agricultural and rural development and environmental audit and policies
Setting up a Think Tank drawing from regional and national experts for an ‘Economic Policy Watch’
Establishing laboratory facilities for simulating crisis management in Economics
Linking up with important research centres of national importance in developing collaborative research training programmes
