MISSION

To envision, design and implement integrated approach to disasters and natural calamities through multidisciplinary research, education, training and field action projects to enable sustainable and inclusive development

GOALS

• To study the present condition of disaster-proneness and preparedness of the region
• To evolve locally relevant disaster mitigation measures
• To generate awareness and promote preparedness among the communities to face disasters and natural calamities by conducting seminars/workshops/conferences and extension activities
• To ensure people’s participation in disaster management by way of regular training and education by networking with relevant government and non-government agencies, funding agencies, SHGs, workers in the unorganized sector and other stakeholders in the region
